FAQs

How much will it cost to remodel my kitchen?

The investment required to remodel your kitchen will depend on many factors, from the size of your kitchen, to the type of cabinets and countertops you choose, to whether or not you need or want new appliances.

Customers are encouraged to visit our showroom to identify the cabinet options that you are looking for, including construction type, wood species, and door styles. Speak with one of our qualified kitchen professionals to determine a realistic budget, based on your needs and the options that you desire.

What types of cabinets are available?

There are three types of cabinets available: stock, semi-custom and full-custom.

How do I choose which cabinet type is right for my kitchen?

There are several key differences between the types of cabinets. Identifying your needs and what style you’re looking for is important in determining which type of cabinet is right for you.

Differences between cabinet lines can be but are not limited to:
  • Construction quality
  • Door selection
  • Wood species
  • Paints and glazes
  • Customization of cabinets

What type of countertop should I choose for my kitchen?

There are many types of countertops to choose from: granite, quartz, solid surface, and laminate. The surface material you choose depends on factors such as how you plan to use your countertop, your expectations for the surface, and your budget.

How long will it take to remodel my kitchen?

This can vary depending on the scope of the project. Lead times for products range from two to three weeks for laminate countertops and stock cabinetry, to eight to twelve weeks for a full custom kitchen remodel. The actual remodel time can vary in the same manner, from one to two days for some projects, to two weeks plus for larger projects.

What should I expect during my remodel?

Every remodel is different, but there are some things that you can plan for.

The basic installation process includes but is not limited to these steps:

Step 1: Your dream kitchen will take some planning to meet the needs of your household. First, look at the kitchen you have. What do you like about it? What do you dislike? Is it too small or too dark? Does it lack storage? Do you need a larger preparation area, or would you like to add an island with seating? Have you created a scrapbook of notes, photos, and ideas that you would like to use in your new kitchen? These resources will be helpful as you begin your kitchen design process.

Step 2: The next step in your design process will include a visit to our kitchen showroom. Your Bomberger’s designer will introduce you to our various lines of cabinetry, and explain the construction details of each one. You will get an overview of available door styles, wood species and finishes. Your designer will ask for your target budget for the project before recommending a line of cabinetry. You will also be introduced to available countertop materials and edge finishes.

Step 3: When initial selections have been made with your designer, you are ready to set up a field measure. Our measure specialist will come to your home and make a drawing of your existing walls, doors, and windows, as well as take pictures of your existing kitchen. These pictures will help your designer understand the current use of your room.

Step 4: Your kitchen designer will use all the information from your field measure and your initial consultation to create a design that will make best use of your available space, paying attention to both function and style. You will be asked to make an appointment to come into the showroom and look at perspective pictures of your new kitchen. During this visit your design will be fine-tuned, making any necessary changes, and adding desired accessories to fit your personal style and taste.

Step 5: You will receive a firm quote on your new kitchen, using the cabinetry and counter top choices you have made. Bomberger’s offers professional installation of both cabinetry and countertops. We will include this in your quote, or quote materials only if you choose to do it yourself.

Step 6: When the design and quote are finalized, you will be asked to sign both the quote and the floor plan. At the time of purchase, Bomberger’s requires 1/3 of the total as a down payment. Your project will now go through the order process, and within two weeks you will be contacted by our scheduling manager. Bomberger’s will schedule your cabinetry and countertop installation, as well as flooring and backsplash installations purchased from Bomberger’s Flooring Department. We also offer to schedule your electrician and plumber, who will bill you separately.

Step 7: If you so choose, Bomberger’s will remove and dispose of your current cabinetry and countertops. Our expert installers will then install your new kitchen according to the schedule that has been set up for you. After the completion of the installation, you will receive a phone call from your designer, making sure that everything has gone smoothly. When everything has been completed to your satisfaction, you will be billed for the remaining balance. Enjoy your new kitchen from Bomberger’s!
